Why Go-wild
Wildlife Journeys Shaped by the Field
Go-wild by WANEE designs and operates field-led birding and wildlife journeys across Vietnam. Our routes are shaped by local knowledge, honest expectations and responsible decisions in the field — from private tailor-made journeys to carefully planned small-group departures.

A Better Wildlife Journey Begins with Better Decisions
Wildlife travel is never entirely predictable. Season, habitat, weather, animal behaviour, access and travel pace can all shape what is possible. The quality of a journey therefore depends not only on where you go, but on how the route is designed, how expectations are managed and how decisions are made when conditions change.
What Shapes Every Go-WILD Journey
Field-informed from the beginning
Every journey begins with season, habitat, wildlife behaviour, access and real field conditions — not a list of destinations alone. We use this knowledge to assess whether a route is realistic and how it should be organised.
The right way to travel
Some travellers need a private journey built around their dates, target species, pace and practical requirements. Others prefer a carefully planned small-group departure with a proven route and travellers who share similar interests.
Honest wildlife expectations
Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. We explain what is realistic, what is seasonal, what remains uncertain and when an alternative route may create a better experience.
Responsible field practice
The quality of an encounter should not come at the expense of the wildlife itself. We prioritise low-disturbance observation, sensitive-site protection and field methods appropriate to each species, habitat and situation.
Choose the Journey Format That Fits You
Private & Tailor-made
A journey shaped around your travel dates, wildlife interests, target species, preferred pace and comfort. This format is particularly suitable for specialist birders, photographers, mixed-interest groups and travellers with specific logistical or mobility requirements.
Best for: specific targets, private dates, flexible pace and complex requirements.
Fixed Small-group Departures
Join a carefully planned journey on selected dates with a small group of travellers who share similar wildlife interests. These routes are designed around suitable seasons, specialist wildlife focus and a coherent field experience.
Best for: solo travellers, shared costs, fixed dates and proven routes.
Supported by the same local knowledge, honest planning and responsible field standards.
Our Method
From Wildlife Interest to Field-ready Journey
Whether we are building a private itinerary or preparing a scheduled departure, every Go-wild journey follows the same core logic.
Wildlife focus
We identify the species, habitats, photographic priorities or wider natural history interests that give the journey its purpose.
Season & conditions
We consider timing, weather, habitat, access, recent field knowledge and the practical realities between locations.
Route & pace
We balance field time, travel time, physical demands, comfort and the overall coherence of the entire journey.
Guide & local support
Guides, regional specialists, rangers and operational support are selected according to the destination and wildlife focus.
Responsible adjustment
Conditions change. Timing, daily focus or field methods may be adjusted while protecting the purpose and standards of the journey.

Clear Expectations
What We Promise and What We Do Not
What we promise
● Careful preparation
● Honest advice
● Appropriate field support
● Responsible observation
● Clear logistics and communication
What we do not promise
● Guaranteed wildlife sightings
● Inflated target expectations
● One person claiming to specialise in everything
● Disturbance for a sighting or photograph
● Following the plan regardless of changing conditions
A wildlife operator cannot control nature. What we can control is the quality of our preparation, the honesty of our advice and the decisions made throughout the journey.
Applied Expertise
Local Knowledge Matters When It Improves the Journey
Being local is not enough on its own. What matters is how local knowledge is applied – to understand seasonal patterns, evaluate routes, manage travel time, identify the right field specialist and respond when conditions do not follow the plan. Our network brings together biologists, birders, wildlife guides, trip planners, regional specialists and local partners across Vietnam.
Field Specialists
Biologists, guides and regional experts carefully matched to each destination and specific wildlife focus.
Seasonal Wildlife
Seasonal patterns, habitat behaviour and species information built from continuous field time and observation.
Regional Experience
Access, logistics and route judgement built through many years of operating extensively across Vietnam.

Beyond the Journey
Part of WANEE’s Wider Commitment to Nature
Go-wild is part of WANEE, a Vietnam-based organisation working across wildlife travel, nature education and sustainable tourism. We believe tourism, when thoughtfully designed and responsibly operated, can deepen people’s understanding of nature, support local knowledge and livelihoods, and contribute to wider education and conservation efforts.
Our long-term ambition is not simply to organise wildlife tours, but to help demonstrate how tourism can create more positive relationships between travellers, communities and the natural world.
