Three days in Cat Tien’s lowland forest

The journey moves through different field windows rather than repeating the same trail each day from dawn primate activity and forest birding to hides, quieter trails and night wildlife.

Leave Ho Chi Minh City at around 7:00 AM and travel toward Cat Tien, with a field stop at Tan Phu Forest along the way. After lunch and check-in inside the park, spend the afternoon on a forest trail before a short evening walk looking for nocturnal wildlife around the park area.

Cat Tien National Park — Full-Day Wildlife Exploration

Begin before breakfast with a quiet session listening and looking for Yellow-cheeked Gibbons during their morning activity. Continue through forest trails and selected hides for ground birds and other forest species. Later, spend time at a quiet hide before finishing the day with a guided night walk. A shared night safari may be available as an optional alternative.
