[3-Day] Cat Tien Herping & Birding Tour

Three days inside Cat Tien combining specialist night herping with daytime birding and wildlife. Two full nights in the field give more time to follow weather, habitat and current activity.

Moderate field pace

Why This Route Works

Daylight for birds. Darkness for herps.

Cat Tien works particularly well for a mixed field journey: forest birds and primates remain active through the morning and afternoon, while frogs, geckos, snakes and other nocturnal wildlife become the focus after dark.

Best for

Herpers and naturalists who want more field depth than a single night, while still experiencing Cat Tien’s birds, primates and lowland forest during the day.

Keep in mind

The nights are the core of this journey. Expect late finishes, early mornings, humid forest conditions and route changes according to rain, trail access and current wildlife activity.

What We’ll Be Looking For

Field highlights

Two dedicated night herping sessions, lowland forest birding, bird hides, dawn wildlife and several different trails create a compact but varied Cat Tien field experience.
Herp activity is strongly weather-dependent. Exact trails, night routes and daytime sessions may change with rain, humidity, access.
