Why This Route Works

From coastal mudflats to freshwater wetlands

Tan Thanh and Tram Chim bring two very different birding environments into one compact route. The journey begins around the tide for coastal shorebirds, then moves inland for two days of wetland birding shaped by water levels.

Best for

Birders who want to explore two contrasting Mekong habitats in a short route, with a strong focus on shorebirds, wetland birds and field time rather than general sightseeing.

Keep in mind

This journey depends strongly on tides, seasonal water levels and daily bird activity. Departure times and field sessions may shift to make better use of current conditions.
