Why This Route Works

Watch the mountain change after dark

Arriving before sunset allows you to settle into the landscape and observe diurnal wildlife heading to roost. As twilight fades, the forest transforms. We adapt our route in real-time, scanning forest tracks, ridge lines, and stream beds as nocturnal

Best for

Wildlife enthusiasts, curious naturalists and travellers with one free afternoon who want a genuine night-field experience without committing to a multi-day journey.

Keep in mind

This is a late field night with several hours of walking. Wildlife activity changes with weather, humidity and moonlight, and no particular owl, loris or other species can be guaranteed.

What We’ll Be Looking For

Leave Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon and reach Dinh Mountain before sunset. After a short break and field preparation, begin a flexible night walk through selected forest trails. The guide follows current conditions and recent activity, looking for nocturnal birds, slow lorises, frogs, reptiles and other wildlife as the evening develops. Productive sections may receive more time, while routes can be shortened or changed rather than trying to cover every trail. Finish the field session late in the evening before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

What a night walk really feels like

Expect several hours on forest trails after dark, moving slowly and stopping often to listen and scan. The terrain is not technical, but distance, humidity and the late finish make the experience more active than a casual evening walk.
