Vietnamese Endemic Bird Areas

In 1998, BirdLife International identified three important bird and Endemic Bird Areas (EBAs) in Vietnam: the Annamese Lowlands, the Da Lat Plateau, and the South Vietnamese Lowlands. More recent studies have uncovered two additional EBAs: the Kon Tum Plateau and the South-East Chinese Mountains. Furthermore, Vietnam contributes to the Fan Si Pan and Northern Laos Secondary Area. These designations highlight key regions crucial for bird conservation and underscore Vietnam's significance in preserving avian biodiversity.
