The best time for a birding and herping tour in South Vietnam depends on the specific locations you plan to visit. Generally, the dry season from December to April is a good time to visit, as it is cooler and there are fewer mosquitoes and other biting insects. During this time, reptiles and amphibians are more active due to the lower humidity. However, some bird species may migrate during the winter months, so if birding is a priority, it may be best to plan your trip during the breeding season from May to August. It is important to do some research on the specific locations you plan to visit and consult with local experts to determine the best time to visit for your interests.
